DORADO, Puerto Rico - August 20, 2007 - Pharma Serv confirmed that an agreement has been reached with CIC (Caribbean Industrial Construction) for the construction of the Pharma-Bio Serv, Inc's testing laboratory facilities: Scienza Labs in Dorado, Puerto Rico.
CIC has already completed the Phase I - Demolition activites and has been granted Phase II to build the facilities on the first floor of our current industrial building where our headquarters offices are located. The construction phase will be completed by mid-November, 07.
"A team of speciliazed microbiologists and validation specialists are already working on the Quality Systems, Validation Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures. Our laboratories will become a state of the art alternative to those companies looking to partially or fully otsource their microbiological testing and/or environmental control programs", Elizabeth Plaza, President and CEO stated.
The construction of Scienza Labs represents a local investment of 1 million and will provide employment to approximately 20 health science professionals in the start up phase. Scienza Labs will start operations in First Quarter, 2008.
